How can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made on our megabus.com website or by calling our telephone reservation line 877-GO-2-MEGA. Calls to the megabus reservation hotline are toll free from within the United States and Canada, some charges may apply for international callers.
How do I search for trips?
All megabus.com trips are priced and sold individually, however you can
choose to buy either a one way, same day return, future return or a block of
repeat trips across a number of different dates.
From Search and Buy you choose the number of passengers traveling, including children of 2 years of age and over (children under 2 years travel free, please see our Terms and Conditions). Please note that all passengers traveling under the same reservation number must board the bus together.
Now choose your leaving from and traveling to points.
Details of our departure and arrival points, including maps can be found in the Bus Stops section of the site. Detailed schedules for all stops served can be found in the Schedules section of the site.
Next choose your outbound date from the drop down menu. megabus.com trips can be reserved up to 45 days in advance of departure.
If you want to make a reservation for a return trip select a return date in the 'returning?' drop down menu. This trip can be on the same day or on any subsequent date, again up to 45 days in advance of departure.
Please note when selecting trips that depart after midnight you are required to select the actual date you want to travel, remembering that the date changes at midnight.
You can now choose to repeat this trip on different dates, allowing you to make reservations for the same outbound and return trip across different days of the week. Select the additional dates from the 'repeat trip on another date?' drop down menu. The repeat trip option can only be used when your initial selection includes either a one way or round trip that starts and finishes on the same day. If you do search on more than one date, your search results will only contain trip times that are available on ALL your chosen dates. This may restrict the number of search results you get. Try searching on only a few dates for best results.
Once you are happy with your selection click on the 'Start Search' button.
When I search my desired trip is not offered?
This may happen for a couple of reasons.
First check our Schedules section to ensure the trip operates on the date you have chosen.
If the trip appears on our schedules it may simply be sold out.
Make your reservations early to avoid disappointment.
How do I make a reservation?
After completing your search megabus.com will offer you a list of the available trips that match your selections. Since your desired origin and destination may be in different time zones, all times shown on this website will be local to your selected cities. More than one stop location may be available in some cities, in which case the times displayed will be for the main terminus point. If the city you are traveling to/from has more than one stop location, you may use whichever location you prefer. Be sure to visit the Schedules page for more details.
Click on the box next to the trip(s) you wish to reserve, then click the 'Add Trip(s) to Your Reservation' button.
You can now choose to remove trips, search and add more trips, or checkout.

Yes - This can only be completed more than 24 hours before the first trip you reserved is scheduled to depart. A US$1 fee (50¢ change fee and 50¢ new reservation fee) is charged for all reservations being changed. The cost of the initial reservation will be credited against the subsequent reservation.
